Showcase Sunday (27)

Showcase Sunday  is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea. Every week, book bloggers all over the world showcase and highlight books (and book related swag) that we’ve received, downloaded, bought or borrowed.

This week,

I received from Net Galley …

  • Uses for Boys by Erica Lorraine Scheidt [goodreads]

Thank you, Gallery Books and St. Martin’s Press!

What books (and swag) have you received recently?

If you’re taking part in Showcase Sunday  or something similar, let me know.

Leave me a comment and I’ll follow your link to visit you. :)

Have a fantastic Sunday!

P.S. On the blog this week, I reviewed Elder by Raine Thomas and Doomed by Tracy Deebs.

  6. I love that cover for Uses for Boys. It contrasts the sound of the book, the book sounds rather sad but like it will have a nice ending.

  8. AHHH USES FOR BOYS!

IT HAS BEEN SHOWING UP EVERYWHERES.

    THE COVER!

IT BURRRRRNNNNSSS. (in the really-pretty-let-me-go-die-in-a-hole kind of burn!)

It also looks REALLY good! It sounds really cute from the title! It would be so epically awkward if this ended up NOT being a contemporary and really a paranormal. Well, first I’d give the “OMG I’M SO STUPID” look and then the “WAIT A SECOND THAT DOESN’T SOUND PARANORMAL!” and then pester people who’ve read it until they concede that I am, in fact, partially right.

    Because that’s just how I roll. ;P

    Awesome haul!

  10. I’ve read both of these. Uses for boys was good but different, and I didn’t really appreciate the s-word. Hope you enjoy it more than I did.

  11. The S Word sounds so good! I like that simplistic cover!

  12. The S word, curious what S word we are talking about because several come to mind. Most of them dirty words :) I’m gonna go check it out on Goodreads.
I can’t wait to read Uses For Boys! It sounds dark and gritty, just how I like them!
